The Bright Climber ISTP-TC personality type

A variant of ISTP

Voice message at lunch: okay, so, this happened

ISTP-TC: The Climber who feels things fast and fully and talks them through: a few calls, one raw version, and lighter hands for the repair.

ISTP-TC personality type, illustrated: A man in his late thirties of Mexican descent, with thick curly black hair and a rust work shirt over a charcoal tee, grips a compact socket driver and gestures with his free hand.

What the ISTP-TC personality is like

Sensitive and Collaborative on top of the Climber: things reach you fast and fully, and you work them out with other people. The voice message goes out at lunch, a little too long, starting with "okay, so, this happened", and you feel better before they've replied.

Under pressure

Pressure hits quickly and visibly. You feel it, you say you feel it, your pace picks up, your hands move before the plan does. People around you know exactly where you are, which has its own kind of relief.

From inside it's loud but not messy: you think by talking, and each time you say it out loud it rearranges into something you can use.

When something goes wrong

You reach out within the hour, sometimes to two or three people, because each one helps with a different piece. A friend for the feeling, a colleague for the technical part, a sibling for the perspective. You'd rather think it over with company than find the answer in a silent room.

Then you go and fix it with your hands, lighter. The call was part of the repair.

How the two fit

Sensitive and Collaborative is a short road from trouble to relief. The price is the first version, said at full volume to whoever picked up. It travels, and others react to a storm that has moved on. It goes better when one person gets the raw version first. The Solo Climber carries it quietly, the Roped Climber calls early, the Storm Climber holds it alone.
