The Bright Lighthouse INFJ-TC personality type

A variant of INFJ

Felt it with them, called two people, wrote the long message

INFJ-TC: The Lighthouse who feels things fast and fully and thinks it through with people: the clearest signal of the four, easy to find in a storm.

INFJ-TC personality type, illustrated: A man in his late sixties, white with ruddy fair skin, thinning silver hair, and a muted teal knit vest over a soft cream shirt.

What the INFJ-TC personality is like

Sensitive and Collaborative on top of the Lighthouse: things reach you fast and fully, and you think and recover with people. A friend's news lands in the afternoon, and by evening you've felt it with them, called two people and written the long message.

Under pressure

Pressure reaches you at full strength, and it shows. Your voice picks up, your messages get longer, you say out loud that you're at your limit, which helps: everyone knows where you are. You also feel the room, so the stress of the person across from you becomes part of yours.

Inside it's warm and loud. It also passes, because you let it move.

When something goes wrong

When something goes wrong, you call within the hour. You pick whoever will stay on the line and you tell it all, in order, including the part you're embarrassed by. Having someone listen is half the fix; the other half is hearing yourself say it.

Then you ask what they think, take it seriously, and often come out with the plan you'd half-made already.

How the two fit

Of the four Lighthouses, yours is the clearest signal: people know where you are and when to come close. The cost: you pick up their reaction along with your own. After the call you carry two worries, and one call sometimes becomes three. The Still Lighthouse stays steady alone; the Warm Lighthouse asks lightly; the Night Lighthouse feels it in private.
