The Steady Firefly ENFP-AS personality type

A variant of ENFP

Plan B was already half a plan, and you grinned

ENFP-AS: The Firefly who stays light under pressure and sorts things out alone: of the four, the one that shrugs first and mentions the weight last.

ENFP-AS personality type, illustrated: A man in his mid-forties of Black British descent, with close-cropped salt-and-pepper hair and a muted navy overshirt over a terracotta tee.

What the ENFP-AS personality is like

Steady and Self-reliant on top of the Firefly: things take a while to reach you, and when they do, you sort them yourself. The festival schedule collapsed, the flight is gone, and you're already grinning and saying "okay, what if we".

Under pressure

Pressure makes you lighter, not tighter. You joke, reshuffle and pick a new route before anyone has finished panicking. Things take longer to reach you, so the first hour of a crisis is often your best.

From outside it looks like you're not bothered. Usually you aren't, and sometimes the weight arrives on Thursday, long after the thing itself is solved, when nobody is there to say it was a lot.

When something goes wrong

You go quiet in a cheerful way and fix it yourself. You'd rather rearrange your own week than explain, because explaining slows down the fun of solving it. Friends find out afterward, as a good story with you in the middle.

Part of the cost is that they'd have joined in, and part is that the story leaves out the hard bit.

How the two fit

The pair makes you the Firefly who keeps the party going when plans fall apart. The cost is that the bright version is the only one anyone meets: no one brings you their heavy thing, assuming you'd shrug, and you take on one more yes with no signal of the load. The Summer Firefly talks it over, the Wandering Firefly feels it at night, and the Wild Firefly feels it out loud. Yours is the one that glows steadily.
