The Summer Firefly ENFP-AC personality type

A variant of ENFP

Texting "ok so what happened is" before the kettle boils

ENFP-AC: The Firefly who stays light under pressure and thinks things through with friends: of the four, the one whose bad day turns into a good story fastest.

ENFP-AC personality type, illustrated: A woman in her early thirties of South Asian descent, with a chin-length dark wavy bob and a muted teal overshirt over a soft cream tee.

What the ENFP-AC personality is like

Steady and Collaborative on top of the Firefly: things take a while to reach you, and when they do, you tell someone. The bad day is already "ok so what happened is" in the group chat, and by the third message you're laughing.

Under pressure

Pressure doesn't grip you for long. You feel it, then you look around for someone to look at it with. You're quick to say "I'm not sure how this is going to go" and quick to hear "same", and the room breathes out.

From outside it looks sunny. Inside, things reach you at their own pace, and you've learned it goes better told than held.

When something goes wrong

You reach for the phone before the plan. Whoever answers gets the whole story, with voices. Half the problem shrinks in the telling, and you often find the next step in the middle of a sentence.

Then you do something small, today, with someone, and that is how it gets sorted: a call, a walk, a shared fix. You'd rather solve it in company than in silence.

How the two fit

The pair makes you a Firefly people want to bring the mess to. The cost is that the story gets better with every telling, and the problem shrinks to fit the story, so the dull follow-up, the email or the form, waits behind one more good conversation. The Steady Firefly solves it alone, the Wandering Firefly walks it off, and the Wild Firefly tells everyone at once. Yours is the one with a sofa.
